What you need

A Claude account

A Claude account on any plan — use claude.ai in a web browser for now to set up Sóley, not the Claude phone app. Sóley is listed in the Claude connector directory, so there is no address to paste. On a Team or Enterprise account, your workspace owner may need to approve Sóley.

Connect in three steps

Open Sóley in the Claude directory
Use the button below, or on claude.ai, open Settings, then Connectors, select Add and choose Browse connectors, and search for Sóley.

Select Connect
Claude notes that community connectors have passed automated review. Select Connect and approve the sign-in when asked.

Ask your first Iceland question
Try: "What day tours are available near Vík in October?" Sóley answers with live Icelandic data and real operators you can book directly.

What you need

A ChatGPT account

Set it up in a web browser such as Safari or Chrome; creating the connection does not work inside the ChatGPT app. A free account is enough; we verified the whole flow on the free plan in August 2026. The button below opens the Plugin directory at the connection screen.

Connect in three steps

Copy the Sóley address
Use the button below. You will paste it into ChatGPT in the next step.

Open ChatGPT setup
Use the button below to open the Plugin directory and choose Create connector.

Connect Sóley
Name it Sóley, paste the address and approve the connection. Start a chat, select Sóley from + and ask: “What day tours are available near Vík?”

Protocol and tool reference

Sóley uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so supported assistants can call its live Iceland data, operator discovery and booking tools. Authentication uses OAuth and the remote transport uses Streamable HTTP.
