About

Welcome to South Coast ATV Adventures — the most exciting way to explore the landscapes around Seljalandsfoss and Eyjafjallajökull. If you've ever wanted to ride through the kind of scenery that looks like it belongs in a movie, this is your chance. Our ATV tours take you off the beaten track and into the wild heart of Iceland's south coast. Our meeting point is at the Seljalandsfoss parking lot, right next to one of Iceland's most famous waterfalls — the one you can walk behind. From there, we head out into a world of glacial river beds, ancient lava fields carpeted in moss, and hidden valleys where waterfalls pour down cliffs that no tour bus will ever reach. We offer two main tours. The Waterfall ATV Tour is a one-and-a-half-hour ride that follows river beds through a dramatic landscape to a hidden waterfall that most visitors to Iceland never see. It's perfect for those with limited time who still want a proper adventure. Our Eyjafjallajökull ATV Tour is a three-hour epic that takes you right to the foothills of the famous volcano that erupted in 2010 and shut down European airspace. You'll ride through the ash-covered landscape where the eruption's power is still visible, with the glacier looming above you. No previous ATV experience is needed. Our quads are automatic — easy to handle even if you've never been on one before. We give full training before every tour, covering controls, safety, and riding technique. A valid driver's license is required for the driver, but passengers can be as young as six. Two people can share a quad: one driver and one passenger. Everything essential is included: helmets, overalls, gloves, and we even throw in a hot chocolate stop at our base along the way. Just bring warm layers, waterproof clothing, and shoes that can get muddy. The landscape around Seljalandsfoss is one of the most visually stunning in all of Iceland. Eyjafjallajökull glacier dominates the skyline, farm fields stretch out bright green in summer, rivers braid across the outwash plains, and everywhere you look there are waterfalls pouring off the cliffs. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Westman Islands offshore. We're located right on the Ring Road between Hella and Skógar, making it easy to add an ATV tour to any south coast itinerary. Many of our guests combine their ride with visits to Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, both of which are within easy reach. Get ready to get muddy, grin from ear to ear, and see Iceland from a completely different perspective.
